Two words, the same intention: a well-kept stay address, at human scale, designed for guests to truly settle in.
Boutique Résidence — the independence of a whole apartment (your living room, your equipped kitchen, your private terrace), the care of a residence kept by its owners, and on-request services. Neither a standard rental nor an impersonal hotel format: a third way, more apt for those who want a real home on their stay.
Retreat — the other intention of the place, in two registers. A retreat in the slow sense: a footfall deliberately capped at eight people, generous south-facing outdoor areas, a heated pool, a private spa. Step out of real time, draw a true breath. A retreat in the creative sense too: L'Annexe hosts themed stays — wellness, cookery, photo residences, woodwork — to step aside and devote oneself to a practice, alone or in a small group. Without isolating yourself: Lille is 15 to 20 minutes away, and the surrounding territory — French Flanders, Belgium, the Opal Coast — opens up to day trips.
The residence takes place in a former farmhouse typical of the north of France, which we have progressively turned into a stay address at human scale, designed to welcome few people in good conditions.
We live on site and handle the welcome ourselves. This presence takes nothing from the privacy of the stay; on the contrary, it ensures a place that is followed, kept with constancy, and a simpler relationship when a need arises.

The spirit of the residence
A clear address in what it offers.
Maison La Vesée was not conceived as a standardised accommodation. What we wanted to create here is an address clear in its proposition: few apartments, a high level of equipment, outdoor areas truly pleasant to live in, a residence followed by those who live there, and a sense of balance that larger structures often lose.
Total capacity is capped at eight people. This choice is fundamental. It shapes the quality of use of the spaces, the rhythm of the place, the relationship to the outdoors, and the general feeling of the stay.
You come here to stay in a place that has a presence, a way of holding itself, a way of welcoming.
Our story
A farmhouse, inhabited differently.
Originally from the north of France, I lived for several years in Martinique before returning to settle in my home region.
With my partner, we discovered this farmhouse and were immediately struck by its volumes, its full-south exposure and the singular atmosphere that came off it. The contrast caught us: a traditional northern architecture, already crossed by an unexpected tropical presence, with its palm trees, its bamboos, its light. That duality is what we wanted to preserve: a very clear regional anchoring, without rigidity; a northern home, but open, light-filled, inhabited differently.
In 2019, we created the three apartments within the historical dwelling. We then developed the outdoor areas, the pool, and later the wellness space. The residence was built in stages, with the time needed to do things properly.
Today, Maison La Vesée welcomes guests from France, Belgium, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Germany and beyond. What I seek to offer remains simple: a reliable, well-kept, warm address — a place where you feel at ease as soon as you arrive, and that leaves a cherished memory.

A family holiday in Armentières, Lille, Ypres, Bruges and French villages. Great accommodation, fantastic pool and Sebastien was a friendly, attentive host with excellent recommendations.
Our gite was absolutely perfect. A very modern and comfortable accommodation. The pool area was wonderful and a great space to cool off and relax. The location was peaceful and quiet but still very close to local amenities including some wonderful restaurants and boulangeries.
