The outdoor areas hold a central place at Maison La Vesée. They aren't there just to accompany the apartments: they take a full part in the stay, in its rhythm, in its tone.
The pool, the terraces, the south-facing light, the palm trees and the chosen materials compose a distinct atmosphere — both structured and a touch dépaysant, without ever breaking with the residence's anchorage in the north of France.

The pool measures 4.30 m by 9.50 m, with a progressive depth from 1.00 to 1.50 m and a 30 cm paddling area for the youngest. The water is kept around 28 °C during the season thanks to a heat pump — a temperature that lets you string together several swims with no hesitation, from early morning to late afternoon.
The full-south orientation captures light from the morning until sunset. Lined with a wooden deck and palm trees, the pool keeps a singular tone in the Lille countryside — something Mediterranean, set there without excess.
Footfall stays measured by design: a maximum of eight people on the whole property. That's what makes the difference with a hotel pool — you actually settle in.
The detail that signs the place

A few palm trees planted at the edge of the pool: that's almost all it takes to tilt the atmosphere. Seen from a sunbed, they stand out against the sky like a promise of late sunshine; seen from the water, they filter the midday light and cast shifting shadows onto the wooden deck.
This is not a heavy-handed staging — no potted palms wheeled in for the season — but established specimens that stay out all year round. They are part of the residence's character.

A personal space by the pool
A dedicated sunbed per guest.
Each guest has their sunbed by the pool for the duration of the stay. The rule is deliberately simple — no hourly booking, no race for the best spot at dawn: your place is set, your towel stays there if you wish.
The furniture is chosen for long comfort: low seats, fast-drying fabrics. A shared parasol covers the area in the hottest hours. The other guests are never far, but the space is designed so no one gets in anyone's way — everyone at their own pace, in their own thread.
A bath towel is provided per person; you may also bring your own. For children, a few pool toys are available at reception.
Between pool and apartment
An outdoor shower, just before going back in.
Set near the pool, the outdoor shower rinses off the chlorine before returning to the apartment. It is a discreet but useful piece of equipment: it keeps wet floors out of the living areas and saves time before lunch or a nap.
Wood, stone, tempered water. Nothing that draws attention to itself — a smooth gesture built into the circulation between outside and inside.
Private space attached to each apartment
The private terraces.
Each apartment opens onto its own terrace, with outdoor furniture and direct access to the grounds. These terraces extend the stay concretely: a morning coffee, lunch outdoors, a moment in the sun after the swim.
They also contribute to the residence's balance — each apartment keeps a space of its own, sheltered from view, while remaining connected to the whole. Furniture varies from one apartment to the next, to reflect each one's character.
Under the garden plum trees
A shared barbecue area.
A barbecue area is available to guests in season, set under the plum trees in the garden. Self-service, shared between guests — early apéritif, grilling later, light easing down through the trees at the end of the evening.
It is a simple, no-formality use: open access during the stay, in respect of the other guests. Lighting, charcoal, utensils and cleaning are your responsibility — as in any lived-in house.

Where to start! Sebastien was a great host! He treated us like family and made us feel at home right away. His place is small but perfectly formed. It's high-end, clean, light and bright and we were very comfortable. The location is perfect for visiting the surroundings. The pool was so relaxing.

Is the pool open year-round?
No. In the north of France, an outdoor pool is not enjoyable in every season. It is open from mid-May to late September. Depending on the weather, we sometimes anticipate or extend this period — a quick message lets you check availability for your dates.

Yes. The water is kept around 28 °C during the season, by means of a heat pump.
